International Youth Day 2011

International youth day is approaching to you. Youth are very excited to celebrate this day. Every Year the United Nations’ (UN) International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12. First time this day was celebrated on 12^th, 1999. This day is celebrated to create awareness in the people how to realized young generation to perform an active role to their communities and their participation in the development of country.

Different activities and events held around the world on the on International Youth Day to promote their role in the development and inventions. Many youth conference are held internationally to discuss different issue like education and employment. Many countries participate in these conferences.

The United Nation defines the youth day for the age group between 15 and 24 years old. The population of youth is one sixth of world population so no one ignore a huge number of youths. Their role really counts in the society. Mostly youth belongs to developing countries and their numbers are increasingly day by day. International Youth Day celebrates specially for youth to show their abilities, to celebrate their achievements. Different concerts and debates are organized specially for youth on this day.

This day is celebrating to highlight the importance of youth in the development. Youth celebrate this day their way, they organized different competition. Different meetings are arranged by young youth organization to discuss some international issues and highlights where the young generation needs to think seriously about theses issue and have to take an action.
