Textile Budget 2012-13

In this budget special significance has been given to the textile section. Let’s have an over look over some of its major features in the economic budget of 2012-2013.

In the presentation of annual fifth budget Mr. Abdul Hafiz Sheikh has put a huge focus on the textile sector. Pakistan Federal Budget 2012-2013 budgets the total amount for textile industry is Rs 227.0 million. The textile spinning and weaving units produce such a quality of thread, Grey cotton and textile products which are not only inferior in quality but also face a cut to cut competition in the international market.

But still our textile are failed to match feet to feet with other developing countries and the main reason behind them is the lack of necessary amount given to this sector. Due to severe shortage of money the demand for locally produced textile items remains limited due to which the prices began to high fly and quality of products remains low as for this reason sufficient amount has been given to this sector.

On the whole textile has always gain a special importance and when it comes to the country development than the name of textile cannot be ignored but on the other hand there is no doubt that due to lack of electric power in country the textile field ahs surely move backward.
