Punjab Budget 2012-2013
On 1st June, 2012 Finance Minister of Pakistan Hafiz Sheikh presented the budget of 2012-2013 which involves the budget of billions. In a same way realizing all these conditions Punjab Government came forward with their Rs.654.96 billion budget 2012-2013 which was presented on 8th June, 2012 by Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman in Punjab Assembly. Lets some a brief highlight over some of the sections of this budget and the amount allocated for these portions.
SPORTS SECTION:-
Government has fixed Rs. 1.6 billion for sports division which focuses on immediate recovery of sports.
EMERGENCY SECTION:-
Rs. 2100 million has been given for providing the people with right away precautionary measures
MINERALS SECTION:-
In Punjab budget Rs. 11205 million has been set aside for the minerals.
IRRIGATION SECTION:-
Rs. 11,250 million has been decided for the irrigation sector. There is an urgent need for the water logging and sanitation system.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:-
In Punjab Budget Rs. 2 million amounts was offered to information section to make the maximum success for improving the infrastructure equipment and other facilities.
LABOR AND HR:-
Punjab Government has kept back Rs. 100 million for the progress of labor department.
FORESTRY AND FISHERIES:-
For the development of fisheries and wild life Rs. 1,235 million has been billed and for maximum protection to the fisheries and wild life concern authority.
POWER GENERATION SECTION:-
In the Punjab budget extra emphasizes have been stricken on the huge production of electricity for which Rs. 9 billion has been preferred.
AGRICULTURE:-
Policies regarding agriculture are most appropriate. Rs. 220 billion has been handed over to the agriculture department for further progress.
LAPTOP SCHEME:-
First time laptop scheme for the students has been put forward in which amount of Rs.4 billion has been presented in which 125,000 laptops will be offered on the basis of merit.
HEALTH SECTOR:-
For providing the best of the best medical services the budget of Rs.14, 8oo million has been aloof.
INFORMATION AND CULTURE:-
Rs 5.424 billion have been decided to use for the information and cultural sector in which Rs.200 million is for information progress, Rs. 185 million is for religious affairs and Rs.220 million has been set aside for the human rights concern. Moreover, Rs 35.5 has been reserved for the future projects in Punjab.
INFRASTRUCTUER DEVELOPMENTS:-
Rs 62.9 are for the other developments which will take place in the country in which equal amount of Rs 1 billion is allocated for the fisheries.
SALARIES:-
Rs.700 billion has been already set for increasing the 20% salaries of all the government servants.
TOURISM SECTOR:-
Punjab Government has also selected the amount of Rs. 250 million for providing the comfortable facilities to the overseas people for the tourism.
YELLOW CAB SCHEME:-
Punjab government has also put forward the special facility plan for the lower class people named as yellow cab for which the amount of Rs. 4.5 billion has been offered.
Punjab budget seems to arise a light of hope among the Punjab people in which all the amount of the budget has been equally distributed among the rich and poor. Let’s see when the progress journey starts and how much it will satisfy the people wants and needs.
