Employment Budget 2012 – 13

 

For the first time ever special significance has been given to the jobs section. Let’s have an over look over some of its major features in the economic Pakistan Federal Budget 2012 – 2013. In our country there is low elasticity of employment. The rate of unemployment has increased to 6.0 percent this year.

Therefore in the economic budget 2012-2013 there has been put much emphasize on the labor intensives projects so that the problem of unemployment could be alleviated. According to the survey about 30% of the people are unemployed. The need is to maintain full employment without deflation and inflation.

In last year budget as the population was increasing the per capita income was still at same place but in this budget the amount of per capital income has been high flied keeping in mind the amount of population. It has been estimated that there is about 20% to 30% of total labor force that goes to waste in the thickly populated countries like Pakistan.

The desirable amount of Rs.1 million has been given to government to provide maximum jobs. On the whole unemployment is one of the basic over head bridge in the welfare and development of the country. If the citizens of the country are not well skilled and professional than how it can be expected that the country will do the progress.
